**UPDATE version 1.3 - This version NOW WORKS in JomSocial 1.8x, supports Firefox, IEx and all major browsers. It also fixes a major issue people were having when their sites were installed in a deeper sibdirectory beneath the Jooma! Root. Cheers! :)

Here it is! The JomSocial extension you've been waiting for! Now you can finally offer your new and existing members the ability to select their avatars from an attractive gallery that you can manage! They can choose an avatar either during new registration or later when they enter the 'change profile picture' menu from their JomSocial toolbar.

Detailed instructions for getting setup:

Install and enable the plugin using the joomla installer

Upload your images and thumbnails to the following folders (uploader component coming soon!)

Avatars: /plugins/system/jsavatars/avatarimages/

Thumbnails: /plugins/system/jsavatars/avatarimages/avatarthumbs/

Make your avatars dimensions 160px wide by 160-200px high and save them to /plugins/system/jsavatars/avatarimages/

Create thumbnail images for each avatar (60x60 px) and give them the exact same name (adding thumb_) to the beginning of the fillename and save them to and save them to /plugins/system/jsavatars/avatarimages/avatarthumbs/. e.g. if your avatar filename is avatar1.png then the related thumbnail should be named thumb_avatar1.png

p.s. Remember that these extensions are a commercial work, please do not share with other parties. You can use these on as many of your own sites as you like. :)
